Oh. My. Goodness. Ruby did it. She did it. And that is all I will say about THAT. After waiting so “long” for Daisy’s story- it did not disappoint. I loved her attitude in this. We’ve spent book after book seeing her tribe be so annoyed with her and yet it never occurred to me *why* she may be acting the way she was. Shame on me. We get so much backstory and learning the why she is the way that she is and it just made so much sense. Seeing O’Jek and his anxieties and watching him be afraid to just take what he wanted. His relationship with his clan. I loved it. I loved the absolute journey we are taken on in their relationship. It’s a true winding journey and it’s not easy and it’s steamy and romantic and there are surprises along the way and it is so much fun. The main characters at the end of Daisy’s Distraction are not the same people that are at the beginning of the book and it was an absolute delight. I also really enjoyed seeing the relationships throughout the tribe. It warmed my heart to see old friends and new ones and getting peeks into some of our un-mated friends friendships and personalities. The letters. The joking. The unexpected friendships… which leads me to this final point: OH MY GOSH- I cannot wait to see WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.
